I think I have came up with a lemon colored silkie!(PIC)

Two buff parents wouldn't give you white chicks, would they?

Those chicks definitely don't look buff either. Please keep us updated on these chicks as they grow.

I agree with insiderart, you really need some egg testers. You know, just to see if we get the same results 'n all

It sure helps if rather than editing to add pics to an earlier post, you put them in a new post at the end--that way folks don't have to go back through all the posts they've already read.
Thanks

Your lemon chicks will mature into white birds with a yellow cast to them. They're just the bi-product of whites having been used in buffs generations ago.

You don't want to use these birds back in your buff program and certainly don't want to use them in a white program.

They really are cute but nothing new. The show standard also calls for a darker shade of buff when showing them. Mine have lavender silkie in them to lighten the shade of buff. But that doesnt mean they arent cute, if you got some silkies that throw off this diluted buff shade then go for it if thats what you like. I wouldnt really call it a new kind of silkie color variety though. Cause it is just a buff thats diluted a little. There's tons of buff shades. The darkest looking almost redish brown. The lightest like ours, looking white with buff highlights.
