I think I have came up with a lemon colored silkie!(PIC)

what I meant to say was, don't be so negative. I didn't mean it as an insult, I'm sorry if I offended you, Hattricksilkies

They look pretty much the same to me, too. Genetics of Chicken Colours shows comparison photos of isabel, lemon, buff and red silkies. Isabel is buff diluted with lavender; lemon is buff diluted with ig; buff is diluted red. The isabel & lemon birds have two separate dilution genes; buffs have one.

I guess a question I have is if you dilute red with lavender or ig as compared with the usual dilute, is the buff phenotype the same, or do they differ?

those don't look the same color as the op's i think they are just light colored buffs.

How do you figure? Take a look again, they are almost identical.

Note the color at the head and neck, the colors are discernible - yellow vs. buff (light orange).

redroosta, I'm sorry if you thought I was a "troll" in my previous post. I try to be very positive about critiquing a silkie, however, to sugar coat an off color bird, or throwback, as a breeding positive wouldn't be doing the poster or the breed a favor.

You can dissect the genetics any way you want to but the bottom line remains the same.

Yes Hattrick is right. They have feathered into white colored birds. The hen throwing these babies has been sold. I only buy bird from REAL breeders now. I have learned my lesson. The babies also have been sold. I am only breeding SQ silkies and I didnt want them in my breeding program. Hattrick you wouldnt happen to have any splash silkies for sale would you?
