I think I have more hens than I thought Yea!!!

I am very new to raising chickens. The last time I kept chickens was in 1957
I bought 16 BO and 16 barred rocks and was told there were 8 pulletts and 8 roos of each.
They are 5 weeks old and there are only two BO with a dark red comb and dark waddles. The rest of them
have a very light comb and no waddles.

DUMB QUESTION Do I have 14 hens and two roos or 14 roos and two hens????

Pictures would sure help but sounds like you might have 14 hens and 2 roos.

You won't know for sure until they lay or crow, but as far as the BO go, if two have obvious red combs and wattles, I'd say those are more than likely roos.

The barred rocks should look different. I'll let some of the BR experts address that.
