a bumpy dirt road in Florida
I found two eggs today while walking the pasture. They are slightly smaller than the goose eggs I have been getting from the Roman Tufted, and they were over in the spot where my Sebbies hang out and made a shallow nest....................... so I think I have Sebbie eggs........

Now we'll see if they are fertile................

If they are first year birds, the eggs will be smaller.

Do they still hatch well? I'm waiting (im)patiently for mine to start laying. Then straight into the bator they go!

If they are wide enough around they should hatch well. Usually the smaller eggs produce smaller babies.

Sometimes they can't get out if they "outgrow" the space available or their little legs get squished and they may end up having foot problems. (I know this from experience

We have our first eggs from the Sebastopols also. One is good so far in the bator. Has been in for a little over a week. Need to set the latest one. The females are last year hatches, but the one gander is 3 yrs. So I believe he's the daddy, and not the yearling male. Let's just see if it all works out. Keep your fingers crossed. Hoping everone has good hatches this spring.Good Luck!!!

wish someone would tell my geese to stop hiding eggs in the woods.......my 12 year old is tired of the egg hunt......
