I got some hens from a friend who had too many and they are supposed to be Australorps (sp?)
They were rescued and were in a cage all together. They lay snuggled together like little chicks. They seem to think they are still in a cage. I have a very large, fenced in area for them to pasture upon and they are new to the grass, too. They are very sweet but shy and I have to block my older hens from bothering them when they eat. Any ideas of gender or breed would be helpful.

Thank you in advance.

Check the bottom of the feet... Yellow would indicate Jersey Giants and pinkish-white would indicate Australorps.
