I can't even plead ignorance. I drive a tractor trailer and, when I stop for the day, one thing I do is check out the farm and garden section on the local Craigslist. Blah blah blah and next thing you know I just got 18 turkey eggs. 10 Bourbon Red eggs and 8 Blue Slate eggs.

To my great joy, they are "as laid" and not cleaned. He told me these were laid this week. How long before I gotta start stale dating them?

My wife may not be pleased but I'm really looking forward to this hatch.

Also, ignore my bedsheet- I don't take the good stuff on the road.

I just set some turkeys myself You have a week to ten days before eggs start to lose viability, so if possible you want to get them set before then.

I'll start by saying I have never hatched turkey eggs but I have hatched goose eggs that were 3 weeks old and guinea that were over a month old.
If you're on the road for 7-10 days, I wouldn't sweat it. Keep them cool and out of the sun. Turn them when you think of it.

Awesome, thanks! They'll go in the incubator tomorrow. We also have a blue Ameracauna that my wife says just went broody so that little hen may get a few big eggs to sit on.
