I think I need an egg basket

I've only got 4 hens so I thought an egg basket was a little over kill. I have just been using my chicken chores coat pockets. Seemed to work just fine.....until I forget and leaned forward over the doorway of the raised chicken coop to pet one of the girls that was talking to me. Crack! (My dog liked that.)

I got a good chuckle out of it and gave myself a mental note to not do that again. Its been a little over a week and I haven't done any leaning over with eggs in my pockets. I'm so proud of myself!

What I did do is take my chicken coat off (with the eggs still in the pockets) and swung it over the back of a chair. Normally I go straight to the frig and put the eggs away. Well, this time I didn't. The pocket hit the wall. Crack. My dog liked that one too.

I'm going to wear out my chicken coat from having to wash it so often!

Can't say I haven't broke a couple but never in my pockets.

So far (knock on wood) I've not broken any in my pocket. I did put a doorknob through one that I was holding in my hand, which was incredibly stupid.

One of these days I'm going to slip on the ice coming back from the hen house and have scrambled eggs XD

Sounds like you do need a basket!
I have a little basket that my daughter had to play with when she was maybe 3. She's 19 now

Could I also remind you that raw egg white doesn't do your dog any good. I'm sure someone with more veterinary knowledge than me can tell you why exactly

Just FYI....I found my egg basket at the Dollar Tree. It it exactly like the ones that you see in the hatchery catalogs. Coated wire with a handle. I should have bought more than one since they were only $1.00.
