I think its a quail noise any one ?????

Ok I havent ever heard any chicken chicks make this noise and whoever is doing it stops when I go over to the brooder so I havent ever seen anyone doing it but I think maybe its the button quail, Its a silly noise hard to discribe it its a bit like this
Wee wee wee woooo,
wee wee wee ,
wee wee wee wooo
Any ideas ?

Weeee weeeee woooooo is definitely button quail. I hear exactly that noise all the time.

nopeit was calling for it's buds. However, I have four buttonquails together and theys still call too only difference is the others call back. Next time you hear it do it, whistle back in teh same tone im sure it'll be like YAY im nto alone! LOL!

I think it's happy when the quail aren't by themselves, kinda sad when they are. Sort of "hi everyone!" when the birds are together, and "hellllooooo?" when they're separated.

yeah that seems to be a call for his hommies only good thing is I dont think the females make that noise so you probably have a boy BQ on your hands... I like when they sound like crickets... that makes me want to bring them inside!
