4 month old EE, sold as a pullet. Legs are sturdier than the other babies from this group, comb is bigger (yes, the comb is a 3 row pea comb, which also has been said to indicate boy) This bird doesn't crow at all, though? Is it just too early, and it will, or is this just a very rooish pullet?

That's a handsome roo. You didn't mention how old he is, but I'd say he's under 5 months. EEs tend to mature slowly, I know I won't expect eggs out of my hen until 20 to 22 weeks.

My EE roo didn't start crowing until about 6 months old (maybe 5 1/2), anyway yours is definately a boy, and will start crowing.

I'm pleased with this bird being a boy. The only thing I didn't want was a mixed gender bird, too hennish for protection, and too male for eggs. I think this is going to be the prettiest rooster I ever did see, and was kind of hoping everyone would agree that Gaz is a roo. I can't wait to see the plumage on him as a mature guy! Thanks, everyone.
