Hi guys, I'm gutted. I've just candled at day 16 and one of my strongest growers isn't moving at all. I've attached pics.

There are some blood vessels still. I can see her beak and feathers but she's not moving :'-( please help! What dyu think??

Don't panic sometimes you can't see them move because they rest! I would incubate it anyway seeing you've only got 7 more days so why not wait and see? It might hatch! And if it does then that's great! if it doesn't yer it's upsetting but at least you won't wonder "what if it was still alive"
So why not just give it ago? :)
Best of luck!!!

Thank you :-) I gave it a little wiggle and saw it move in the fluid but not independently. If this lil guy is resting he's a deep sleeper! :-( haven't lost any yet so it's a bit of a bummer xxx

I would just leave it if I was you and just wait and see :) I'm a first timer and incubating duck eggs and I know how you feel! It's a nerve racking time ay!? but there's a bright side to both odds
Eggs die: you live and learn keep moving forwards!! Never get set back and try again!
Eggs hatch: then your eggs hatched! Hurray! :D

5. 4 looking good 1 looking bad :-( I've just noticed SLIGHT movement (not me moving egg) but from the vessels not the chick. Don't know if that means anything? Xxx

Im not s expert but if the vessels move
Sure that means the chick is alive. I'm not sure thou

Argh I don't know. It was very faint and not frequent. I'm gutted that it made it the whole 16 days to quit before the pipping stage. And just to add insult to injury my silkie has just decided to go broody! Gah! Xxx
