I think I've lost one :-( please help!

Does my pic look like an internal pip? I can see it moving in the air cell but no chirping xxx

Hehe that's ok, best I could do through the incubator!! Xxx

Don't think any of my eggs will hatch :( two have already become malpositioned

Don't lose hope!! You can always assist if you need to xxx

They cracked the egg them selfs but at the wrong ends so I've pulled back the outa membrane so they could breathe through the crack

Well done :-) keep that humidity up!! Fingers crossed! Xxx

Don't lose hope! On my second hatch I had my first 2 chicks pip the wrong end and I was sure I messed up and they were all going to be badly positioned. Not only did I save both chicks, but those first 2 were the only mispositioned babies.

One ducking chipped at the fat end and I can see the tip of his beak but he hasn't moved or made a sound? Is this his lungs adjusting and he's taking a rest. I know duck eggs can take up to 4 days to hatch I hope he isn't dead but I have a strong feeling he is but I'm just gonna leave the incubator till Friday because I don't wanna risk the other eggs. There due date is Friday

Phew! 3/3 out! Two black silkies and a tortoiseshell silkie. Amazing! Got one more due next week from batch two. Excluding the loss of my lovely little one on day 16 I got a 100% hatch rate!!

I incubated between 25% and 45% humidity up to day 18 and temps were 37.5C give or take a few natural fluctuations.

At lockdown I bumped humidity right up to 70% and 80%. My last chick hatched with a wet membrane and it zipped and hatched within an hour!

So dry incubation and wet hatch works for me! Yay!! Xxx
