No, I think Calla Lily is the one...I remember it looked just like that two years ago. It was almost that large too!

I wonder how I killed it...I got it from Wal-Mart, I think it was $5.00 total.

I hope it comes back! How do I make sure it keeps growing? I'm under the assumption that it does NOT like sunshine...since it seems to die when I put it out there and one of the stalks died...

Wish you were closer. I murder plants in some way. My mom use to get me the best smelling patchouli plants every year and I killed them all. I wish I could use your magic apartment!!

you didnt kill it, its a bulb that just dies back like that and sprouts back up later. mine do best in part shade but they like some light. yours, b/c it wasnt used to any sun, may have gotten burned by the shock.

also, it needs some new (more) soil. but if youre skeert, just do it later in the year when it goes dormant again. i dont know how many bulbs are in there under the dirt but you may consider dividing them at that time if there are several.

That my dear is a calla lily and it prefer indoors and shade. They do not need much care at all. You finally gave it what it needed...nothing. Water once or twice per season and feed it a couple times per year and ignore it. LOL
