I think my australorp is a Jersey giant!

I saw another post today that said something about yellow feet so when I was out there, I took at look at my 4 lorps. Turns out Tiki here has yellow feet while the other 3 have pale feet. So that would make him a Jersey giant, right?

He also had more lighter coloring as a chick and also seems to be slower to feather in that the others. Here's a full body shot just taken where you can see he really still doesn't have much of a tail.

Yes, you are correct. The one with the yellow bottoms of the feet (2nd photo down) is a Black Jersey Giant; the one with pinkish bottoms of the feet in the bottom photo is a Black Australorp.

Same thing happened to me. Got three Australorp pullets, instead I have two Australorps and one Jersey Giant. Hatcheries seem to think they are the same thing.

Well they believe that as long as it 'might' lay a blue egg, it's an Ameraucana. It's not a stretch to suspect that they think all big, black chickens are the same things.
