SHOCKING!

My kids went to the neighbor's this morning to look for our wayward girl, and neither she NOR Romeo is anywhere to be found. There are no signs of an attack, so we have no choice but to fear the very worst.

They have chosen to ignore the wishes of their parents for a respectable marriage and have run off together!

I think instead of Romeo, we're going to have to start calling him Mr. Wickham (for all you Pride and Prejudice lovers out there.)

Well, she's fine. Physically at least.

It's like 90 here already with ridiculous humidity. I swear I lost 3 pounds of water in the last half hour. I found Daisy and her boyfriend at boyfriend's house. Daisy saw me and knew she was in trouble.

I followed her all around their gigantic yard, just waiting for her to go into the coop or some other more easily trappable place. The whole time she was squacking at me. "Mom! You don't understand! He's really a great guy! And he loves me! Besides, I'm almost grown and you can't tell me what to do. I hate you! I'm never coming home!"

The worst part? They...did it...RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

No respect whatsoever!

Finally, with my glasses steamed up from the humidity and sweat running in my eyes, I gave up. I told her I loved her and not to do anything stupid. I reminded her of the path through the woods and asked her to come soon. Little does she know that as soon as her father has a minute, we're marching down there together and bringing her home!

Thank you for posting this incredibly funny story and giving us all a good laugh! I hope Daisy comes to her senses and comes home on her own (not likely from the sounds of things, though!). Keep us up to date on Daisy's escapades...

They always think they know more than you don't they?!! That Romeo sounds like bad news. I'm curious if he wears his comb over one eye???
