I think my chicks saw a predator...

Ok, so yesterday I went outside to check on the chicks, and they were all inside of their coop. They don't like their coop yet as I just moved them outside a few days ago. I locked them out of their house, but they cuddle underneath it, unless they are feeling adventurous and will play for a a little bit. They still are nice to me like always, but they seem to be on the alert at all times. I wonder if it was a neighbors dog barking or a couple of flying birds that scared them? They seem to be getting more comfortable, but I was just wondering what ya'll thought.

If they aren't familiar with an area they will be more skiddish and on alert. They should settle more after a week or so. They may just have decided to explore the coop today.

if they did see something that spooked them, maybe they just need something they can go under to "hide" for a few minutes. We used 2 pieces of plywood and made an upside-down V and they love it.
