My chickens are still around the age they need a heat lamp, about to grow out of it, so they stay inside but I take them outside during the day to get them used to it. When I do they always stick near me and I even once got used as a mama chicken when something spooked the pair and they tried to hide underneath me like they would their mother plus like to stand on my legs and shoes as I sit outside with them during outside time
Also when I talk to them they seem to listen and have even started walking over to me tilting their heads. They also have gotten used to me scooping them up from underneath and carrying them
