I think my ducks leg is broken, help!

I am keeping them in the 8' x8' coop right now, I can tell it's stressful on both of them because they normally free range but it's the only way I could keep him from not moving too much and safe from predators.
He sees a little better today. All the online research I did said I should splint it?
I have a sweet girl who spent collectively 9 weeks in the duck barn this spring, recovering from a very complex bumblefoot. I feel your pain. It’s so important for ducks just to be ducks and not kept cooped up.

My duck Gingersnap broke her leg a few years ago. We did take her to the vet, she had x-rays, and we discussed surgery, splinting, ECT. It was a very small fracture in the joint. Her avian vet wasn't sure that doing anything was going to be better than doing nothing, since a splinted duck leg would just get covered in poop. So we decided to do nothing. Gingersnap's doctor did stress strict cage rest. I think it was for 6 weeks. 🙁 It was awful, Ginger hated it. We got two crates that were barely big enough for her to open her wings. One for inside the coop, and one for the aviary. She also took oral calcium, metacam (for inflammation and pain), and gabapentin (for pain). But she healed right up! We went back at 2 week intervals for follow up radiographs and could see things resolving!

This is how it went with my duck, I'd recommend seeing a vet because your duck's fracture is probably different.

I woke up this morning to find my male buff duck with what seems to be a broken leg. I am keeping him and his girlfriend in the bathroom overnight to restrict movement and praying for some improvement in the morning. It's not looking good.v
Should I wrap and splint the leg? If so I'm guessing I will have to change it daily so it doesn't stay wet?
Any advice is appreciated!
Can it walk on it leg ok or is it leaping.
