I have 5 silkie chickens together and I really thought 2 were roosters, they are about 8 months old. Today I collected 4 eggs. I checked the coop at 6 last night (no eggs) and by 9 this morning I had 4. Is it possible that they can lay 2 within a 12 hour range?

Yes, but the second one would most likely be a soft shelled egg unless they were egg bound the day before. Check the vents of the chickens, you'll be able to tell a huge difference between a layer and a non layer.

Pictures of the birds would help. At 8 months, I can't always tell gender on my birds.
