My mom is in my room because I wanted her to be near my incuabator and hear my chick in the egg chirp, Well with my luck it did not chirp while she was in ther so finally when my mom was leaving she said " Im telling the people at work that my daughter trapped me in her room for a hour listening to a egg" she was joking


then a week ago my sister was complain the chickens taking a bath, So she cant have her shower

They are only jealous!! Maybe they haven't been fuzzy butted yet by your Barred Rock hens! We are both sat here watching our first ever hatch, one out, 2 more racing to get out and a 4th with cracks but not as fast....

Yes my barred rocks are quite the characters

I have 3/5 pips of far from my incubator and 2 broodies. Only 2 more eggs to pip. Im hoping it goes good. I havent opened the bator (with i dont plan to tell after the fuzzy butt is dry. ) and i slid my hand under the broodies a felt the eggs (without lifting her) and I could feel were the egg was jagged. and had a tiny hole.

I even offered to build my mom a coop and get her some laying hens. She declined!

Who knew chickens could be so addicting. Before I started I only wanted 6. Now I have 20. Plus, 10 in the incubator. And I'm already thinking about what my next batch will be.................
