I think my RIR hen broke her leg, how do I rehab her?

She’s doing better, so I let her out so I could clean her area, and she’s constantly like panting almost? Her comb isn’t as red too which I just noticed. Advice? I’m not sure what to do and I’m a little anxious about it now.

How is she walking? Is she leaning backward or walking on her hock? She may be stressed or she could have some pain. Are the others bothering her?
She is walking not on her hock but not with her leg straight up and down. It’s to the side. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s stressed, even physical stress needs cortisol. And she’s probably in pain, but I do not know how to dose her with pain meds. Going to ask my vet science instructor today.

The others can’t bother her as she’s in a cage type thing inside the coop. When I let her out all the males wanted to do was breed her. We lost a hen so we only have 4, so that’s probably why. We have 4 pullets who are at least 10 weeks.

I’m thinking of ordering a sling so I can hold it and help her walk again. Will also help me examine her.

Update: she has been in the garage resting, and I think she has made good progress! Still giving us eggs too. I think her only barrier now is that her muscles aren’t built up enough anymore for walking, but we built her a mini chicken run just for her outside so she has reason to move around more.
