I Think My Rooster Has Mycoplasma 🙁

Hello everyone so I believe my rooster has Mycoplasma. His symptoms seem to line up with what Mycoplasma is. This is a big problem for me because he is in with my Silkies I breed with and I've heard that if one chicken has it everyone else does too. I've also heard that It's not good to breed them since they can pass that down to the chicks. They are carriers for life right? I'd appreciate people's opinions who have dealt with this before on this. Thanks

What symptoms have you seen? Can you get him tested by your state vet or NPIP rep? There is also a more expensive way by contacting a lab such as Zoologix who will send you swabs in the mail to collect on your sick bird. They can tsp eat for up to 8 respiratory diseases. You are correct about an MG positive chicken can make carriers of your whole flock, and it can be passed through hatching eggs. Here is a link about Zoologix:
