I think my turkey adopted my adult chicken

So lately both my heritage turkey (2) and bantam silkie (3) have been really broody and they both would lay in a small nest together so I moved them into a larger nesting box and my turkey started hissing and striking at me and she's never done that before and as soon as I moved the silkie into the box with her the little silkie dug her way underneath the turkey and the turkey puffed up like she was the silkies mother. I've had the turkey almost a year and the silkie a few months and they've never done this before. It's kinda cute but can anyone confirm if my turkey thinks she's my chickens mom now? Or what's going on?

Your turkey is acting just like a broody turkey. It is common for a broody turkey to hiss and strike at anyone that is trying to gain access to the nest.

It isn't uncommon for hens to share a nest even if they are of different species. It can be bad for a turkey and chicken to share a nest. The chicken eggs will hatch a week before the turkey eggs are due. This may cause the turkey eggs to get abandoned before they hatch.

I don't have any male turkeys or chickens right now. She's broody but there's no eggs for her to hatch

The best thing to do is to destroy the nest and block access to it to break the broodiness. With no prospect of the eggs hatching, they will just continue to sit on the eggs and slowly deteriorate physically. There is also the strong possibility that the eggs will eventually explode under them.
