I think something's weird on egg.

I have button quail and they've been in the incubator 18 days. It looks like something's growing on one. Help please! I want to know why they're hatching late or why they've died so late. And I really want to know what is growing on the outside or what it is. Here's my image

Does it smell? Looks like the egg is "oozing" which means it's probably rotten Is it only this egg or on all? No clue as to the incubation of quail eggs but if it's smelly & oozing, it's probably rotten. Rotten eggs "explode" so you need to remove them & get them out of the house. My experience with geese eggs....

Hopefully someone with quail experience will pip in soon....

It appears to be mold and also rotten, oozing egg. What's your humidity been set at? Did you sanitize the bator before setting the eggs? This bacteria/mold could be killing the embryos before they hatch.
