i just had to go into the nest box and get the hen out so i could cut the side down so the chick could get out.
as i was trying to get my overly aggressive hen, i think she was pecking at the chick and i think she stepped on it.
he doesn't seem to want to stand up, it seems to be his left leg. hes only 3 days old.
i took him out of the box and brought him in the house, i don't want her to kill it because it seems weak. i've seen ducks do that.
so what should i do to help it? please help, i've lost a lot of eggs to a predator, so i really really want him to survive.
