this is day 19/20 i've seen no movement, this morning i knocked on the fat end to hear chirps nothing my humidity is all over the place from 48-82 im in there every 30 minutes watching listening praying for something. I made a diy styrofoam hatcher. Ive candled and dont see any pipping the eggs are so dark (marans) ive unplugged vents, plugged up vents, ive got a fan blowing the warm air so i think there still getting oxygen, im sick to my stomach. This is my first time with the diy hatcher and shipped eggs. I feel like a failure for sure. Im crying as i make this post...

So sorry. I don't know much about incubating and hatching, I'm new to chicken raising. Mine came to me already hatched but I feel your sadness. I hope there's still a chance for a happy outcome.

Wait a couple more days, it is possible that they could surprise you. And you're not a failure, hatching eggs is hard! Apparently even chickens find it hard, I don't have an incubator and for 3 years I tried to have broodies hatch out eggs... got 1 chick. So don't feel discouraged and don't give up!

Awe, I'm sorry. That is so hard. I'd be a wreck too. Maybe they will still pull through. I've never hacked my own, so I can't impatient much wisdom there. Hope for a happy outcome!

Towards the very end, there is no real movement to see until they internally pip. Then you can see the beak in the air cell moving. Just wait 3-4 more days and see.

ok ive added a wet sponge and my humidity has risen again. My temp is around 97-100 f
im still praying. Ive been using a accurite therm/hygro but everyone says it is crap. So ive now put in the only calibrated thing I have which is a candy therm for my temp hoping that the hygro is sufficient......
