i waited a little longer to post because i wanted them a little more mature and a little more adult feathered. These two (hopefully) ladies hatched out of blue eggs that i produced myself. Father was pure bred CCL and i’m thinking mother(s) are pure CCL because as far as i know, I had 2 pure bred CCL pullets/young hens and no other blue egg layers at the time. In fact, since one CCL girlie was killed by those damn trash pandas several weeks ago, i haven’t even seen any blue eggs. Before the attack i was able to amass a dozen beautiful blue eggs in a week and a half or so. Maybe its molt, maybe its taruma or maybe its just those raccoons somehow targeted my most badass boss bitch blue laying hen 🤷‍♀️. Since i also hatched out eggs that were gifted to me and some CCL mixes (CCL roo over my own BYM brown layers, EE or OE +/- random meat bird), I’m curious what they will grow up to be and what they are.
i am not positive but these 2 look the most like CCl pullets if ive ever seen them.
What do you think?
These two might as well be twins and aside from the leg bands, i can’t tell the difference they have always looked alike. I can take better pics highlighting the leg bands if that would be helpful because they may be different. But as long as all the pics look like CCL pullet, i am happy.

Is one of the chicks foot bleeding?
No, i put red bands on them so i could track them as they grew. There are two that looked exactly alike at hatch and had what i think was classic CCL hatchling coloring for female. Just want to track them as i think its easier for me to tell once they are a little bigger.
They are both pullets. I think the first one is a pure CCL, but the second has green legs and no crest. I think that one must be a mix.
I may have slipped the wrong pic in there. When the weather “warms” up a bit i will go back out and check leg color again. Those little buggars are challenging to photograph. They certainly have zero interest in being super models lol.
FWIW, my CCl hens did/do not have spectacular crests. They are pure bred CCL but not show quality or anything. One was very noticable one and the other you really have to squint to see it but they were both pure bred CCL. Side by side i could tell them apart by the crest, but since i lost one and am not sure who laid which of the blue eggs i incubated, i didn’t expect these girls to have a marked crest.
Good reminder about the legs though. I forgot that they are supposed to be yellow.
