My Guineas only come out of the brush and full graze when I'm out here. One got killed last week and now they seem dependent on me. Will that continue or do they grow out of it?

what they know now is that there is danger from the sky.
They are sticking to the brush for protection from arial attack.
They feel safer out in the open when you are present.
What they will find out is that there is also danger in the brush. Fox and coyote will ambush them there.
I started this year with 6 adult guineas, and now have 4. One of the 4 has a large patch of feathers missing on his back, where something almost got him.

I raised my guineas when they were keets and made sure to hold them a lot during the day. When they got scared they would hide in my shirt, but now they are too big and won't fit. They hide under me when I'm feeding them if they get scared. They are terrified of all the birds and planes flying over their heads.
