Hi.
I made a board about this little chicky a week or two ago but I think gender was too early to tell. S/he is older and I think I should be able to get the gender of her/him. Someone told me s/he thought s/he was a pullet. And I thought so too. But now its comb is getting bigger and pinker and I see wattles growing. Please help. This chick is my all time FAVORITE and it's the only chick I have that likes to be held. Actually prefers to be held! I can't keep roos.
It's behavior as a chick seemed maybe a bit rooish. I saw it doing the chest bumping thing a little bit. As it got older though it stopped. It got a lot sweeter and now EVERYONE picks on it. (all the chicks) The banty has 9 silkie "siblings" that I all hatched at the same time and they've been together since day one. The silkies keep pecking at her/him. A lot it seems.
Her/his chirp seems very high pitched and just.. CUTE!
Very curious. Very friendly.
OK images now! Lol! The chick is 5 weeks old tomorrow. I took the most updated picture today.
One day old!!!
One week or so old. Maybe 5 days.
1.5 to 2 weeks old.
Big gap in age right here. Sorry!
3.5 to 4 weeks old.
5 weeks old!
S/he wanted a closeup LOL.
Sorry it's blurry but I thought it would be nice to see the wattles.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Even guesses.
Thank you!!! OH and if anyone can help me with my 5 week old Silkies' gender please PM me or ask here, I'll put up photos but I figured they are too young to tell. I do have photos of them that I took today as well.
