We received this chicken from a lady who was renting a duplex
she found out her tenant had this chicken that was not allowed
in the home. They moved and left the chicken. It was given to us,
we don't know how old it is, however it has grown to this size since
we received her in the middle of August 2013, she was about 1/2 that size.
we had 2 full grown hens ( golden sex links) that were already laying eggs.
The sex links had picked on her and of course one of the sex links is the Boss
of all the rest. The boss is now a lot smaller. But basically still the boss.
As of this date Nov.21,2013 The chicken in question has never crowed, however
around 8:30 am we were late in feeding and checking on them.
They were all hungry and making the usual chicken sounds waiting
for us, except the one we think is the Plymouth rock hen, it kind of made a half
crow, a couple of times but not quite sure it then quit as it was fed.
We thought we had all hens, could we be wrong? and are we correct in what breed
she is?
Thank You So Much for any help!
