From left to right. Large Jumbo Ouch this baby was Huge!

A little over 3 1/4 inches long! I get eggs like the middle one daily from my pullets but would the huge one be bad for them? It was a double youlker and the biggest I have ever seen!

I get one of those nearly every day. Can't figure out who is laying it, so I guess it isn't too distressful or I'd hear her. Yours look like mine, long but not really any fatter, so maybe it's no big deal to the hen. Sure hope not!

Oh, it stresses them. If I'm out in the barn when a hen is in a box laying one of those, she labors hard and long. She'll whimper and cry a bit. Tends to be the result of over-eating with some birds. I got a flock of Meyers Hatchery "Golden Buff", a red sex link that I am guessing to be Bovan Brown stock and they laid more jumbos at Point of Lay than anything I'd ever seen before. Worse than the ISA Browns. Scares me, to be perfectly frank. I winch when I gather them from the boxes.
