What an amazing moment you captured. Margaret seemed a bit confused this morning lots of egg songs but not sure where to lay so i put her in the coop area and closed the run and watched for a bit and she seemed to be understanding a bit better , I will go home mid day to check on the status. My husband says he i have gone coocoo for chickens lol.

I, too am seeing POL behavior in my EE, Karen. She spent hours laying on the ground yesterday (no egg yet).
Several of my 21 wk olds are near that first egg. Pic: Karen (EE) right, Livvy (bielefelder), Hedwig (Lt Brahma) literally staring silently at nests; Big momma (niederrhiener) is seen peeking out from nest as if to say This way ladies!
