Went out to check on my girls and for the third time today my d*** rooster went after me! He has never challenged me before and I am BOILING mad

Sad thing is that he was my favorite chick and he's absolutely gorgeous. I was really looking forward to hatching some of his babies but I sure don't want to pass that attitude down. On the other hand he's HUGE and would make a very tasty dinner. I've been very unsure of whether or not I could actually do the deed but after having my legs attacked 5 or 6 times today I'm thinking it won't be as difficult as I thought.

Oooooo....I so understand. Nursing wounds right now because of one of my youngest roos that I incubated, brooded in my living room and handled daily. I have been through this many a time. Their real personality does not come out until totally mature and beyond. My roo is getting culled tonight. This has been an on going problem with him for a couple months and it darn hurts even through jeans. He has been attacking the hens and the other roosters.

LOL! Well, I booted him several feet every time he went after me yesterday. Finally when I went to put them in from free ranging I took the big red broom with me and that seemed to do the trick. I will give him a little more time but if he doesn't figure out that I'm THE BOSS soon he'll be my first meaty!
