I'm also new to the chicken world. I do hope this is normal (some pullets grower slower than others). For i have 4 RIRs 5 weeks old, 2 have feathered and grown a lot and the other 2, still small and still have a lot of fuzz. All four are from same batch and same size when I got them.

i have 14 babies 4 about a month old and the rest about 2 or 3 weeks old...all have more feathers than the two in question i might add..lol

I'm sure they do -- I've never had a chick feather like those. I've seen others on BYC before, though. Some of them were indistinguishable from the rest at a few months of age (perhaps the heritage thing already mentioned) while others remained quirky (development issues). I really don't think it's about gender but I will say that I don't know what's going on with those two. I hope you'll update as they grow.

well as you can see one finally got most the feathers but the other only the wings and neck
