I thought a hen crowing was semi rare and usually only happens in the absence of a cockerel?!

So I guess I’m super lucky that my hen, in a pair, with a boy, is crowing too?! . She lays eggs, so shes definitely female.

My daughter's MIL had a crowing hen, who was one of her best layers. But that was in a no-rooster flock.

duets and some shared tasks with the flock cock.
She stopped all that when she came back into lay.
