I thought all aracaunas layed green or blue eggs???

Like I always say, nothing wrong with Easter Eggers; what is wrong is EEs being sold as Ameraucanas or Araucanas. They are all lovely birds. I'm partial to the blues, too! Here are my blue girls, Charlotte and Silver:

Specklenhen, they are looking gorgeous!!

My Cleo (EE) seems to have stopped laying all together. She started laying greenish eggs at around 20 weeks of age, but after about two months, stopped. Well, either she stopped laying, or she's laying tan, pink, or white eggs which is all I'm getting now (I don't know who's laying what anymore.

Cleo isn't even a year old yet, and she looks just fine. Do EE's eggs change color as they get older?

They may get lighter, but they don't actually change color. I had a couple of pullets stop laying a few months after starting and for the first time ever, I have molting "kids" rather than the adults. One stopped for six weeks then started back. The other stopped a month ago and is losing feathers badly.

Well, I just keep an eye on her. I suspected she had stopped all together. She was the one laying the sandpaper eggs just before she quit.
Of course, all of them decided to molt in the last couple of weeks too, but she stopped long before that, almost 5 weeks ago.

Sorry they are EE's unless your feed store buys from a reputable breeder (which I doubt). EE's are cool and will give you all color eggs. Martha Stewart has EE's
