So our love of Belgian D'Uccles has managed to become quite an obsession! After picking up 5 Millie Fleur chicks and our very first Porcelain I was on a mission to find all different kinds of color variations! So after two weeks of TSC (come from Townline Hatchery) not getting any new booted chicks in, they finally did! So knowing me and this feeling I had about maybe I didn't have enough with 6, I went in and took a peak

Instantly falling in love with my older Porcelian, it was a sure thing that we were going to get another! Spotting one, I grabbed it up and continued to look around. Another great find while I visited the Bantam bin was a little white fluff ball, smaller than the rest, but different in so many ways. Black skin, different kinda down... Yes, yes I think this was a Silkie, and not just any Silkie, our first

So I grabbed it up as well.
And then on to the Bantam in question. I thought I got a great find, a Golden necked D'Uccle. I squealed. Could it be?! Knowing it was different by its very light brown/cream down I wished and wished and wished!!!
Then after the feathers started coming in, and the Porcelain started getting boots, I noticed that maybe... just maybe... we didn't know what kind it was as its "boots" where mere fuzzies and not feathers like the others... so here are various pictures of the little one in hopes that we can possible figure it out... might be a little young yet!!!

Well he is starting to look more and more like a Millie Fleur as far as the feathering is going. Starting to get the little white tipped feathers and the wing feathers are getting darker. Although the leg feathers are still a little forgotten about, I am still hoping for a Golden Neck as that is kinda how he lends me to think right now

But thought I would try again with pictures... Still thinking Brahma?

I don't know what she is (except adorable!), but wanted to say that you're an excellent chicken photographer!

Looks like you might have to wait a few more weeks to find out what it is. In the mean time...what kind of camera did you use?

Thanks everyone!!!! We love taking pictures of our "babies" We probably have hundreds of photos of all of our chickens!

The camera we are using is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1. It takes beautiful pictures (as you can see)

It also helps to have two people to help stage the chickens in the pictures
