I thought it was a Barred Rock...BUT

I bought it at the feed store being told it was a barred rock. Then I got to reading on here and his legs are pink but then his comb is not flat. Can you tell me what he is. It's is a he because he does his turn of crowing.

I would appreciate any help. We got him in April.

looks like a young Cuckoo Maran.

He's either a Cuckoo Marans or a mix. They have a single comb and pinky legs. His comb has an odd look unless it's just the photo, almost a Dominique look. They have rose combs and yellow legs, though. Could be a Dom/Marans mix, if that comb really looks like it seems to.

The comb does look funny. Like I said I got it from a feed store and they said barred rock. I had a pullet too but something killed it when I had them in the shop.
