Well, I feel like a bad chicken mom. My big girls got too cold the other day when we had that super cold weather, and their feet cracked and bled and look terrible.
Anyone that knows me knows I wouldnt throw my babies away.
So I have been keeping them in the house. Red doesnt have a problem laying in her box in the house, but Fussy has never done it. So...it was a search to find a good spot.
The pen, and my "walkway" so they would come out....(this was the day it happened)
So I told them I wouldnt put them back out til it warmed up a bit...they were perfectly happy too, didnt even run to the front door in the mornin like usual, but...
"Mom, I cant find a place to LAY!!!" This is good, but its too small.
This is just not quite right either.....
hmm, this is pretty good....
"dangit, mom, I wanted the plastic bag IN THERE!"
All covered up...."ok, NOW no one can SEE me, with that stupid flashing light that keeps going off in my face"
And yes, I had to stay RIGHT beside the silly gal for this WHOLE process to ensure she wouldnt smother herself to death!
