Nah you're fine 
it's more to keep the humidity in so that pipped eggs dont dry out and cause the membranes to shrink wrap the chicks!

If it was just once it's probably ok. It disorients them so it may take them a bit longer to hatch since they have to get repositioned to zip. Have any externally pipped yet? What day are you on?
