OK.
So this is going to sound like a weird question, but is there anything perhaps natural that will make ducks sleepy and or not care?
The reason I ask is that I'm almost done with the Quack-Shack and will be moving my runners officially to their new residence outside.
But...For whatever reason they have become more scared of me as of late, in spite of the occasional treat. It might have to do with my black cell phone I was chasing them around with to get a photo of the their wings last week. I can't even wear a black shirt when I change out their pine shavings lol.
Now I am terrified, just thinking about what the process will be like trying to grab them. I can just see, in my mind's eye, the poor ducks running into the double-pool brooder fence and or each other and getting hurt.
So is there some kind of natural ducky-valium out there that is safe and effective, so everyone is happy and safe?

As prey animals, most poultry do not like being grabbed. Your ducks are also in their teen age phase where most tend to become very skittish. Both you and they will survive the move although both may be somewhat traumatized for a bit. Use treats to get them to come to you. Going after them only feeds their fear.

how old are they, my ducks went through a stage around 2 months old where they were like ugh people and were nervous.
now they are like 4 months and love to come to me and love up on me but do not like if I make any sudden moves (I think ducks should of been called chickens, because they are more skiddish than chickens lol0
Ducks, I think in general do not like being picked up.

Only 7 weeks

I had to scoop up my Runner yesterday he was limping the others high tailed to the front yard once I picked him up he settled down. They really do get over it pretty fast especially if you offer meal worms after.
