I want a new coop! help!

The easiest way I've found is to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy one of their storage building kits, they come in several sizes and are mostly complete kits. Then all you have to do is make minor changes to have a working coop.

well my search continues thank you for your input

That coop was only 3x3 not big enough for me. On craigs list I have a few options: http://bakersfield.craigslist.org/grd/5126769431.html

This guy has amazing coops! They are very functional and the 4x4 one is great if you are not in need of a run. But 4 large hens will fit comfortably and maybe a few batnams.

or

I found tons of free wood pallets that are available and free wood that is available. so I can pay $375 for a premade coop or spend probably $100 or less and build my own. I am not savy with buiding so that make me nervous, but I can customize it to the way I want it
Hi from So Cal. if your girls are cramped now, and you're going to spend time and $$ in a bigger coop, I suggest you go WAY bigger than 4X4. Each hen needs 2X2 floor space at a minimum. Chicken math you know...add a couple of these, then a couple of those, pretty soon you're too small again! Tractor Supply has great coop plans on it's site. Also, if you google "pallet chicken coops" there are some really clever ones!

Yea! Chicken math for sure ;)
The city I live in only allows up to six hens, no roosters, and that is six small animals total. So if you have two dogs two cats you can only have two chickens :/
I already have two cats and now four chickens. I want to sneak in just two more next spring, bantam silkies!
You are right, I will google pallet coop plans
Thanks everyone for your input and help
I did look up shed kits, they run $50 so I I get pallets for free, by shed kit, get pallet coop plans, I'll probably build a big enough coop AND do it for cheap. As long as I gets built before winter I'm good :)

I am by no means advocating that you break the law!

What cats? They don't bark...as long as they're not using a neighbors garden for a cat box they don't really count.

If you keep your place clean and quiet, you can most likely sneak. We'll be waiting to see what you come up with!
