I want my porch back!

I have a half dozen lovely ladies who lounge about my back yard. They have a run attached to the coop, but I let them wander about the backyard for a few hours a day. Unfortunately, they know that the snack man comes from inside the house. They camp out on the porch and ... do chicken things ... in front of my door. Does anyone know a type of outdoor carpet or something that will encourage the girls to not poop on my porch?

You could try a scat mat. I don't know if a chicken weighs enough to set it off.

You need to NEVER feed them after coming out that door unless you go straight to their run and give them treats in there or they will always associate you coming out that door means goodies for them and they'll just keep coming back.

I used to have the same problem. I moved the food farther away from my house and never dropped them food near the house.
