I've been wanting to get quail for quite a while, but I never actually started looking. Last summer I got cats... could I still get quail or would they be in too much danger? Thanks in advance.

I think it would be completely fine. I have 2 cats and as long as I am near my chickens they won't hurt them. you might want to clip their wing feathers so they can't fly away from you when you are holding them. If they can't fly very much likely they won't attract as much attention of the cats.
Also they slip out of your hands really easily so the cats might not even be able to hold onto them

I don't actually have quail but from what I have read people usually keep them in glass tanks indoors(I'm assuming they could slip between bars depending on their size). I have seramas but I think they are similar to quail, in that they aren't cold hardy below 40-50 degrees, so depending on your climate you might be able to put them outside.

Cats and quail do not mix. You either keep one or the other.

I have both and I have no problems. My quail are in cages that are off the ground. I find my cats staring at them but I haven't had any problems.

Just like the cartoon with "Sylvester and Tweetie".

Having quail and cats should be fine as log as you keep them separate and safe. How many quail were you plannin on gettin? What kind? Button quail would be harder to defend from cats, but they need less room. Jumbo quail would be bigger thus more able to defend against cats, but need more room.
