hi i have just ordered a few of these with a couple other breeds i was just wondering how they lay in the state of ohio

Had 1 years ago. If Iremember right I got about 4 eggs a week but climate a little warmer in Tennessee.

4 eggs is goo but i was wondering if the clames are true to have them lay 364 eggs out of 365 days a year but i think i will be ok i have some barred rocks comming to

I have one Miss Bella and she is a good layer...one egg every day in warmer weather and just about every other day in colder temps...I really enjoy the breed and bought 3 more this spring!

My mom has some we live in Kansas and we get an egg everyday for hers.

thats good to know so what you think about buff orpingtons and the araucanas/ameraucanas as layers

Fantastic layers when they aren't broody, which is about 3x a year in my flock At least, that's my experience.

My broody BA's are by far the best mothers though.
