Well, i'm hatching a egg (Used to be 3~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/egg-missing.1336836/) and today is the end of day 17. I thought I read somewhere that mother hens talk to their eggs while they are hatching to sort of help them and 'coach' them along. Is this true? I was telling my friend about it and he said "Oh yeah right, I mean, really? Do you think thats true?" And things like that.
I really want to prove i'm right. Am I?
Oh, and this is a question that I want to know: If its true that the mother talks to the eggs, when will this start?

They do make noises to the eggs just like a human talks to a baby in the womb. I candle my eggs and when I talk, the chicks move more.

I have not hatched eggs yet but have read several times they do in a sense talk to the chicks. I believe when they are getting near hatching is when they do it the most.

Not sure why he touched it, but I think his hens really trust him. It wouldn't hurt the chick or anything to touch it.

I wish I got that experience! Mine are too young to get broody or it's just their breeds. I'm hoping I can get one of my ducks to sit on eggs next year.
