I want to raise ducks. How much space do I need to raise a flock of 10 and what do they require?

Hello,
I currently have a flock of 10 chickens. The feed store just started chicks last week and they have ducks! However, I have never raised ducks, only chickens. What do they require; space, feed, water, etc?

Separate housing from your chickens. 5 sqft minimum per duck in the duck house, 10sqft minimum in the run and a yard to free range in. A water tub that is 4 inches deep minimum.

i recommend a one gender flock, for the least amount of problems (and i also recommended adopting drakes instead of hens, you will not have to worry about egg related issues either)

ducks need a lot of space because of how messy they are, kiddie pools are best because they can be re filled and cleaned easily daily

chicken feed is not duck feed and isn’t the best to keep ducks healthy, purina, mannapro, and mazuri all have duckling and duck feed
