I joined this forum when I acquired my very first ducks, and poultry at that. I was told a duck is a duck and a drake is a drake, I never thought to question that eight years later but I’m not too proud to admit when I’m wrong. I’ve also never kept ducks and chickens together, but I recently hatched some ducks and other members here forewarned me of dangers of the drakes attempting to mate “chicken” hens.
