You wouldn't want to compelling block her in but somehow make it less easy for the other girls to get in to her nesting box.

She's finally settling in. Yesterday another hen sat on her eggs in the less used nesting box and she sat in the nearby box and continued to talk to her chicks until she was able to get back in. It's looking better. It's around day 8 of her sitting, so roughly 2 weeks to go!

I went on a short road trip and came back to my broody being herself:

They are due around April 12th, the day I got my 1st chickens, 3 years ago. I will leave her with 8 eggs and see how she does.

I'm around day 14/15, did some candling this evening. I have 5/6 eggs that are growing well. 1 looks like it may have stopped developing early. I only could get pics of my white eggs.

Finally in lockdown. At the moment she is still in nesting box, otherwise I fear she'll be sitting on the wrong eggs. We have a brooder box ready for all of them after they hatch. I made a ramp from nesting box down to run area

Only 3 out of 10 of my eggs are viable. I caught broody eating an egg last night so I replaced her eggs with fake eggs and put the remainders in my incubator for the remainder of lockdown.
I have deduced I have a frizzle hybrid and 2 lakenvelder hybrids. Maybe will get 2 or 3 more chicks to replace the ones who didn't make it.
