I want to see your thrift haul🧐

I have pulled 3 laptops out of the dumpster in the last year or so. Two of them are running one flavor or another of Linux and get used occasionally around the house. The third one I put mint on and gave to a kid that needed one at the school my buddy teaches at. I also got a TV and a monitor a few weeks ago.

If you go to apartment complexes around the end of the month you can often get loads of good stuff because people are moving out.
Ooo that's great you saved those laptops. I saved one from a trash can. Yah, the hardware is bad, but I still treasure that poor thing. I asked the person who'd tossed it since he was out there and he said I could take it. He also gave me an old Celeron all-in-one as well.

Are they just normal PC laptops or are they Apple ones?

It's some kind of Walmart special, implied by its "ze4547wm" model number. I don't really care. Laptops like this are things I love to save. It's no thrift haul but it sure it from a trash can.

It placed second-to-last on my HandBrake Benchmark for the Old and Elderly Computers.
