I was lied to! ;)

If you like them as chicks take a course in chicken math, everyone passes.

You were not lied to, it's perpetual motion, first chicks, then they turn into egg layers which means more chicks if ya have a roo that is

They sure grow fast, don't they?! Just like kids....and weeds....and the mountain of laundry in my living room

FYI, you might want to line the outside of the bottom of your run with hardware cloth or chicken wire. Coons and dogs just love those little heads. Coons will actually reach inside and stretch for your ladies.

Thanks for the advice! They are usually free ranging all day, and hardly ever locked in the run. And I lock the coop as soon as they put themselves to bed (they were locked the run on this day because the lawn was being mowed and they were chasing our lawnmower boy all around the yard!).

And CoyoteMagic...the picture must be a little misleading. She just started clucking last week and I haven't heard any "party horn" noises coming out of her. But who knows! I'll love them all no matter what
